Accelerating Clean Energy in India 2023
Accelerating Clean Energy, or ACE, is WRI India’s flagship annual event where fresh insights into ongoing and emerging research streams on global energy transitions, and their implications on India, would be presented and discussed.
In July 2023, India hosted the 8th Mission Innovation (MI –8) jointly with the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) alongside the G20 Energy Transition Ministerial Meetings (ETMM) in Goa. The focus for this year’s Ministerial was Advancing Clean energy together, to accelerate the deployment of clean energy by encouraging the development of policies and programs which advance clean energy technology and solutions around the world.
Following these conversations, ACE 2023 will be discussing the following important themes:
- Leadership in Indian cities on clean energy transition
- Industrial decarbonization
- Energy transition in states
- Critical minerals for India’s clean energy transition
In this fourth edition of ACE, we at WRI India’s Energy Program, are looking forward to these discussions and much more, to ensure India achieves its ambitious goals of carbon neutrality by 2070 and lives up to its pledges on renewables and Sustainable Development Goals.
