Shop Floor to Boardroom: Skills for a Greener World
As India accelerates its climate commitments, the transition to a low-carbon economy is reshaping labour markets across key sectors, including manufacturing, mobility, and energy systems. While this shift opens significant opportunities for green job creation, it also raises risks of worker displacement, declining job quality, and shortages of skilled workers.
At the Climate Asia Conference, WRI India is organising a session featuring short films accompanied by high-level addresses that bring together diverse perspectives on the role of skilling in enabling a just and inclusive green transition. Through on-ground stories and expert insights, the session spotlight the challenges and opportunities that India’s low-carbon transition presents for MSMEs and their workforce, particularly in navigating rapidly evolving skill needs, as well as access to technology and finance.
Join us at the conference to learn more about our work and explore how green skilling can unlock MSME competitiveness, strengthen worker livelihoods, and advance gender inclusion.
