Nashik is one of Maharashtra’s fast-growing cities while also benig a major cultural and economic hub. As the city continues to expand, the question is not only how it grows, but how it can grow in ways that are more resilient, inclusive and responsive to a changing climate. By spotlighting the case of Dwarka Junction, one of Nashik's busiest nodes, this post tells the story of how heat is intensified not just by weather, but by concrete surfaces, traffic, air pollution, limited shading infrastructure and sparse green cover. It visually depicts the range of experiences different users have — vendors, traffic police, drivers and people waiting for public transport — at and around the junction  to emphasise how heat action must begin at the street-level, where daily life is most exposed, through shade, green cover, better pedestrian infrastructure and people-centered urban design.
